6 Hours of Road America — the race team's race report

On Saturday 25 July 2026, JOBARD Racing took the start of the 6 Hours of Road America, on the Wisconsin circuit, at the wheel of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R in iRacing. The car was shared on a relay basis between Guillaume Jobard and Jonathan Ribeiro. Six hours of endurance concluded in P19 in the GT3 category from 33 entries (P40 overall), following an accident that could have ended the race within the first third.
Twice in the wrong place
As early as the second lap, a heavy accident between GT3 cars unfolded directly in front of the Corvette. The car came through unscathed. It is the kind of moment that makes you feel the race is off to a good start.
The second incident would leave no such room. An LMP2 was stationary in the middle of the track. An avoiding line was committed — and the LMP2 moved off at the precise moment of passing. The contact sent the Corvette into the concrete wall. The car came to rest on its roof. It returned to the pits on a flatbed.
There is nothing to rewrite here: this accident was not of our making, and there was no way to avoid it. That is endurance racing. What belongs to us is what we do afterwards.
Seventeen minutes, then six places
17 minutes of repairs in the pits. The race resumed from 25th in class, at a deficit no pace could recover over a six-hour event. Only one question remained: to finish, or not.
The team finished. 240 laps completed, six positions recovered over the second half of the race, crossing the line 14 laps down on the class winner. The car's fastest lap came after the accident: 2:05.119, the crew's benchmark on the combination, set in the race rather than in practice. That may be the most telling figure of the day.
