6 Hours of Interlagos — the race team's race report

July 18, 2026 · Race report · Le Mans Ultimate

On Saturday 18 July 2026, JOBARD Racing took the start of the 6 Hours of Interlagos, at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace in São Paulo, at the wheel of the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R in Le Mans Ultimate. The car was shared between Guillaume Jobard and John Ribeiro. Six hours of endurance racing concluded in P16 in the GT3 class (P26 overall), at the end of a strategic gamble that went unrewarded.

A weather gamble that did not pay off

The decision was made before the lights went out: run a wet setup, anticipating the threatening skies over São Paulo. Endurance racing sometimes rewards those who read the weather ahead of the field — provided the weather obliges. This time, it did not. The rain arrived only an hour from the finish, and too lightly to reshuffle the order. Both drivers spent six hours managing a compromise built for conditions that never truly materialised.

At JOBARD Racing, we do not oversell our results and we own our decisions. The wet-weather gamble was deliberate — it did not pay off. We note it, plainly.

What comes next

Time for a measured debrief with JOBARD Race Engineer — pace, stints, weather window, setup strategy — to turn this missed call into method. Endurance is a game of patience, and it is precisely these races that forge a race team. See you at the next round, live on the Twitch channel.
